The intern will be part of the AI Services and Platforms R&D team, contributing to the development of Generative AI applications and exploring novel use cases using large language models (LLMs). This role is ideal for someone passionate about applying GenAI to solve real-world problems in technology. The intern will work closely with senior team members to prototype solutions, experiment with prompt engineering, RAG, AI Agents and evaluate the feasibility of new ideas. LEAP Innovations is seeking talented students who are eager to work on cutting-edge AI technologies. What you'll do: Design and prototype GenAI-powered applications using LLMs and related Gen AI APIs; Develop apps using prompt engineering, RAG, AI Agents and fine-tuning of application logic to optimize LLM outputs; Collaborate with data scientists and engineers to integrate GenAI capabilities into existing platforms; Support research efforts by reviewing literature and experimenting with novel AI techniques; Document findings, present demos, and contribute to internal knowledge sharing; Collaborate with AI architects, ML engineers, domain experts, and infrastructure teams to scale AI workloads globally; Work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
Tech: Python and Gen AI libraries (ADK, Langgraph, Langchain, Microsoft Agent Framework); LLMs, AI APIs, RAG, and vector databases; Prompt engineering and AI Agent orchestration tools; JavaScript (ES6+), React, Angular, Vue.js, HTML, CSS; Node.js and RESTful API integration; Object-oriented software design (OOSD); Knowledge representation techniques such as knowledge graphs; Machine learning and fine-tuning large language models; GitHub for version control and collaboration.
Requirements: Currently enrolled in a Master's or PhD program in Computer Science, Data Science, AI/ML, Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Electrical Engineering, Machine Learning, Automotive Engineering, or related fields; Proof of enrollment in current or next program (MS, PhD); Legal authorization to work full-time in the US during the internship; Strong programming skills in Python; Exposure to Generative AI concepts (LLMs, prompt engineering, RAG, vector databases, AI Agents); Desire to learn and grow within a technical environment.
